I just finished this book and had to come back to reread the reviews of it to make sure that I was reading the same book. Firstly, I enjoyed how long this book is, and I enjoyed the male characters in this story. All were very well developed. However, I could not for the life of me find any redeeming qualities in India. She came across as self absorbed, selfish and in complete denial about her life. She used sex to deal with life situations when she should have been acting like an adult and actually talking about things. She constantly used those men around her that loved her, especially Kenny who I thought she treated dreadfully. All in all, I don't really understand the high ratings on this book as it was just OK for me. I finished it which means it held my interest to some point.

No Matter What All that Glitters Book 1 edition by Michelle Betham Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

Really enjoyed this book and purchased the sequel. I loved India at first but the further into the book I got the more I thought she was a very self-centred girl and only cared about herself. Also am surprised with the cover of the book which does not show a girl with blonde curls as she is described in the book and am disappointed when searching for other books to find that "Forever After" by Karen Rose Smith has exactly the same cover. Why does this happen? Now I cannot picture India at all as I imagined her in the book.
And I did, so one would think I enjoyed it. I was invested in the characters enough to want to know what happened to them. However, I think I will skip the sequel. I don't enjoy romance books when the woman (in this case India) is SO beautiful that every man wants to love & protect her. I also noticed that each character was described as looking far younger than their age. As others have stated the grammatical errors were many. I started counting how many times an apostrophe was put in front of the word phone. For the record it was EVERY time! If someone is counting errors than the book is not that interesting.
Good author
I just finished reading No Matter What. I really enjoyed the book and appreciated its length. My only problem with this book was the horrible grammar. Bad grammar has always been a pet peeve of mine, especially when done by writers who should know better or editors who did a sloppy job of editing. Writers, editors, and proofreaders all failed with this publication.
Loved that the book was long and the male characters were lovely. But what made me rate the book at three was the main character India. She was nothing but a selfish adulterous who blamed everyone else for her problems but herself and when it came time for her to answer for her mistakes she runs away and tells everyone to leave her alone. although I know the character is fictional I hope I never meet someone like India in real life, I honestly will hit her. I found myself so annoyed with India I honestly didn't want to finish the book but ended up finishing it cause I figured there maybe some light at the end of the tunnel for India's awful character. But all I found was more disappointment and maybe some pleassure that one male character in her life finally slept around on her instead of her sleeping around. Read for yourself and you may love. For all I know I maybe the only one who disliked the main character.
Wow...this book was long. It went on and on and on. While parts I found interesting it was truly sickening how she treated Kenny and the constant cheating on her numerous husbands became disgusting by the end. I find it hard to believe that someone would return to a man who raped her for some more sex. The author does a good job of getting us invested in the men in India's life only to chuck them all to the side during the last quarter of the book for some new guy who is the love of her life? WTH? I was so confused by that point that I wanted to just delete the book. I did read the entire thing in the hopes Kenny was rewarded for his love and loyalty to India but nope. Disappointed.
I am by no means a professional writer. I do average 120 books per year, with two jobs, two kids and a new love so I feel a little bit qualified to reveiew. )

I really wanted to love this book but there were some issues I couldn't get past. I found India to be very weak and one dimensional. I was more interested in learning more about Charley. I also thought the book could've been about 200 pages shorter if the author reduced the amount of times she used the phrase "couldn't believe". I get it, the first couple of years, India couldn't believe how much her life had changed, but 10, 12 and 15 years in, everyone was still thinking how they "couldn't believe" xyz. I also think each of her relationships besides the one with Kenny could've been developed more. They all seemed to be about this intense physical attraction and no time was spent on the other parts of the relationship. I got tired of reading about each man's mouth and incredible kisses. There was a ton of sex and very few times that she made love. It got to the point that it was like "come on", again? No wonder so many men loved her...she walked around smelling like sex.

There were times when I wanted to smack India and I guess that may have been the intent, but I would've rather she'd been written so I could empathize with her. She caused most of the problems in her life. I also disliked that almost every outfit was a strapless dress/shirt with strappy sandals OR tee shirt, jeans and boots. I love to re read books but I won't be doing that with this book because it was redundant in too many places. I finished it though, so it definitely speaks to the potential and how interested I was in the characters, but it got to the point when I started skipping parts just to finish.
